Skål, accepts only memberships of tourism professionals, is established in 1932 in Paris. Today, the center of the Skål is in Spain. It is the largest tourism NGO of the world with memberships of 480 clubs and 22 thousands of individuals in 89 countries. The Turkish structuring of Skål started with establishment of Istanbul Skål in 1956. Mrs Hülya Aslantaş, elected as the world president of the Skål in 2008, made attentions paid to Turkey. Today, there are 14 clubs and 900 individual memberships under Skål Turkey umbrella.
Skål Cappadocia is one of those 14 memberships. Skål Cappadocia is established in 2000 and has 27 active members. The overall objective of the Skål is to develop business and friendship relations among tourism professionals for the sake of global world tourism. Skål Cappadocia in this general framework, has been producing projects and conducting activities to introduce Cappadocia to the world.
