Mrs. Thierry, born in France in 1925 studied medicine and became anesthetist. She and her husband Michel who was a surgeon conducted researches on Christian arts mainly in Cappadocia, Syria, Armenia and Georgia. She studied Byzantine History and History of Byzantine Arts at Sorbonne University and Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes. She has PhD degree in literature and history. She conducted her scientific researches in Cappadocia where she has been researching for fifty (50) years leading her discovered more than 100 new churches. Thierry who taught on the subjects she performed researches at Ecole Pratiques des Hautes Etudes for long time, has books and several articles. This interview explaining her works in the region, was performed in Cappadocia where she came for research in June 2010.
